Deepak and Vaibhav are two people from this Corporate IT world. The following discussion happened when one was made to talk the bad news to his team mates about "downsizing as there is cost cutting and budget constraints". Deepak: mera kal cheenu se solid waala discussion hua.. actually mein kal i was a part of the metting where i have to break the bad news to few of the team members about downsizing of the team main bhi wohi bol raha tha jo aap bol rahey ho bada hi idiotic concept hota hai.. downsizing.. abey jab woh insaan upna din ghar parivaar sab chodd ke aapke liye late nights tak kaam karta hai taaki aap profits bana sako.. tab aapko woh yaad nahin aata.. jaise hi turant musibat aayi saala sab se pehle usko nikal phenko.. might sound like leftist.. but if our top management cuts 5% on their salary and their dinners with their travel, your entire bottom line can be kept happy and i dont think it should matter to them 5% of 4 lakhs is a mere 20k.. and instead of 20 days of travels if you do 15 days and be more productive then it would actually save 1000 jobs in your company but no body bothers to do that

Deepak: na.. i dont think this world needs me in corporate dynastys rather it needs me as a minister for industries :)

Deepak: and i do agree that this world needs me.. but i dont want to start something in which only top management earns.. i want the entire chain to make money while its hay and the entire chain to take a cut while its gloom
no no.. dont do anything in short.. it doesnt look good... atleast wear trousers :)

Deepak: hmm.. lekin mera thought to kaafi different hai yaar.. mera aim saare stake holders ke liye wealth banana hai.. naaki sirf owners ke liye.. i believe in efficiency and productivity and hence rewarding at the right time..and i truly believe employees are your best stock options..happy employees mean very happy organisation..a super reason why no one leave Tata for a jindal or mittal..and same is applicable for mittal as well

Deepak: hmm.. main bhi hun.. but i have my limits which i found out are very very low then most people..i also want luxuries.. i also want amenities.. but then there is a limit.. but i found out that there are many in this world who have no limits..

Deepak: i know.. but then there is JRD tata, and ratan tata.. there is aditya birla there are also from the same world these people couldve been atleast 20 times richer had they thought of making money for themselves.. thats why you see loyalties of 20 yrs to them.. and EOD thats what matters..

Deepak: when u walk out.. if people come to you and say.. boss its coz of you that i could get my kids best of education, marriage of my daughters and run my house.. thats the best appreciation

Deepak: wohi to keh raha hun yaar.. kitna kamoge.. main samjhta hun till the time you earn 1 lakh per month money is important.. after that.. its greed..

Deepak: who believes in upper cap on earnings.. and bringing everyone to same cadre.. however i am slightly different also.. i only support people who are productive.. i wont believe in carrying non performers for no reason
